2026 Goals

hello hello. happy new year! while i dont LOVE the idea of new years resolutions i still sorta make em every year. i do have a method to make them more achievable however: i try to have a creative goal, a kill bad habit goal, health goal, knowledge goal, then a freebie. FIRST here's the 2025 goals that i accomplished...

stop biting nails. this actually ended up happening naturally, but now i am constantly pissed at how often i have to clip + file my nails...what a pain in the ass!!
start testosterone. ive been on T for almost a year and its been pretty freaking cool. every day my tiny moustache gets darker and i become stronger
write music. i wrote and performed a short 1 act opera this year even though i havent played an instrument in a decade! i picked up piano and started composing from there and wrote like 5 songs with vocals + a 3 piece band that all have a unique part. im excited to keep learning about music and making more juuuuust not more opera lol
exercise regularly. i typically workout at least 3x a week and i am so happy and proud of myself for this. it has made a massive difference in how i feel every day

now....i did not accomplish all of my 2025 goals, so this next one is carrying into 2026!
reach B1 italian. to be fair i think it was wayyy too ambitious for me to try to do this last yr since i was in my final year of uni and was the busiest id ever been. but now that ive graduated and have officially moved to italy im hoping reaching this goal will be a lot more accessible. ive been stuck at A2 for a couple years, which considering the fact i havent had any formal education i think thats great but ive obviously hit a wall with what i can learn without a more organized study program.

finally........the 2026 goals
stop picking body acne. guys......the testosterone acne is killing me and my body acne is SO BAD! and whats worse....i cant stop picking it which obviously makes it WORSE! this year.....i need to accept my horrible bumps and not pick at them.
experiment with more cardio. my work outs are all calisthenics + mat based stuff i can do at home. so itd be good if i could discover a cardio activity i like.....a dance class, swimming, idk something that i could do weekly!
get into vfx + 3d animation. i feel like vfx and motion graphics are the last sort of digital making tools i have no knowledge of. so this yr id really like to pick up blender again + really get to know the davinci fusion page.
multitask less. im already not a big multitasker (i get overwhelmed easily) but id like to minimize it even more. i dont want to be doing an activity with the TV on etc etc. i think music is ok but im tired of television being my motivator to do things!!! basically i want to give my full attention to whatever activity im doing all the time instead of like 60% of the time.
