mayi finally returned home after about 4 months of visa limbo & couch surfing. while it feels soooo good to be back with my stuff, its not been easy.

i started studying italian full time this month, attending lessons twice a week and studying hard at home, but language learning sure doesn't move quickly. i know i'm going at a completely normal pace but it's frustrating to spend so much time studying and still go out to events and not be able to speak to anyone!!!
i have to pass a B1 exam in a years time, which grants me sooo much time to prepare but im still stressed. studying has eaten up a lot of my free time so i haven't gotten into the swing of making consistently, but here's May's creations:

i got all my stuff delivered over christmas, but havent had a chance to decorate. but this month i put up some of my prints!
journey to linen pantsits been getting super hot here
and i have no summer trousers!
so i started sewing some linen pants.
this mock up took about three days,
one day to draft, two days to sew.
theres still a few mistakes in it
(dont look at the pleats)
but the pattern is impeccable now!
